On the high seas, avant-garde technology meets bathroom comfort from Hansgrohe
The Quantum of the Seas is currently the largest cruise ship built in Germany and it represents the epitome of avant-garde technology out on the ocean. This “smart” ship offers networked computer technology on all decks, fast satellite internet and sensational attractions: you can enjoy a breathtaking view in an observation capsule 90 metres above sea level and experience thrills in a sky-diving simulator. You can have high-tech fun with robots, who mix cocktails ordered on a tablet PC in the “Bionic Bar”, and enjoy bathroom comfort from Hansgrohe in the cabins.
The more than 4,100 cruise passengers can experience state-of-the-art showering comfort in their showers thanks to Ecostat Comfort. The Croma 100 shower features hansgrohe's thermostat technology, which ensures that the showers are constantly at the perfect temperature and truly impresses the user with its intuitive operation. Thanks to the hansgrohe ComfortZone, mixers from the Metris range perfectly complement the wash basins in both form and function. The mixers can also be found in the Vitality salon where, at optimum height, they are adapted for use in the beauty area. Moreover, mixers featuring hansgrohe sensor technology are used at the wash basins in the public restrooms, offering convenience that is both water-saving and hygienic.
Besides its technical innovations, the Quantum of the Seas will also surprise passengers with its innovative culinary concept: “Dynamic Dining” enables passengers to pick and choose their meal times in a variety of restaurants. A wide range of bars and cafés along the central promenade, The Royal Esplanade, also offer ample opportunities for culinary exploration. Since the autumn of 2014, the 348 m long ocean liner from shipping company Royal Caribbean (RCI) has been setting sail from New York, travelling mainly to the Bahamas and the Caribbean, as well as heading for destinations in Europe.
