Extraordinary Award for Winners of the First Stage of Giro d’Italia

Historical success at the Giro d’Italia: Title Sponsor hansgrohe offers hand showers in special finishes to Lukas Pöstlberger and Cesare Benedetti

The bathroom specialist from the Black Forest and title sponsor hansgrohe congratulated the riders Lukas Pöstlberger and Cesare Benedetti from the team BORA – hansgrohe on their success at the first stage of this year’s 100th Giro d’Italia by offering them two hansgrohe hand showers in pink and blue special finishes. These exceptional hansgrohe Raindance Select hand showers were handed over by Federico Gianotto, Manager Hansgrohe Italy, before the start of the last stage of the Giro d’Italia on May 28 in Monza.

BORA – hansgrohe Secured All Classifications at First Stage
At the start of the tour of Italy on May 5, Lukas Pöstlberger had not only secured the red jersey of the points classification and the white jersey of the best young rider, but also won the entire stage. The hand shower with a pink finish reflects the colour of the jersey worn by the leader of the general classification. “Showering calms me down and is relaxing, and I know I am done with work. The hand shower from hansgrohe at the end of the Giro d’Italia is a nice reminder of what I achieved here,” said Lukas Pöstlberger. With Cesare Benedetti, a rider from BORA – hansgrohe was successful in the mountains classification of the first stage. “The award from hansgrohe will be given a special place. It is great to have a leader’s jersey here in the 100th Giro and I’m happy that our new sponsor honours this with a special award,” Cesare Benedetti thanked Federico Gianotto.
