Paris/Schiltach, 17 June 2010. “Who doesn’t wish that they could design their bathroom in line with their own ideas? Axor Bouroullec lets people “Feel Free to Compose” – so that this room can be completely tailored to the user’s personal requirements and desires.” Philippe Grohe, head of Axor, summarised the principle behind the new Axor Bouroullec bathroom collection. Axor, the designer brand of Hansgrohe AG, has developed this collection in cooperation with Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec – a French designer duo well known for their constant pursuit of the perfect balance between an object’s form and function, and between its interaction with the user and its surroundings. Axor and the designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec redefine the topic of individualisation in the bathroom with Axor Bouroullec as just like in a game, the mixers can be combined with the shelves in many different ways. “We are no longer restricted to positioning the mixer in a central location on the basin’s rear rim”, explains Philippe Grohe. With Axor Bouroullec, the mixers can be freely arranged anywhere in the wash basin area: on one of the integrated shelves, which feature throughout the collection as a key design element, in front of or on the side of the wash basin, or even on the wall. The result is a bathroom collection that offers a wealth of individual options to create designs and solutions, to allow everyone to embody their personal ideal in terms of functionality, aesthetics and personal balance.
The designers themselves showed what the design principle can look like. They used Axor Bouroullec to create their own personal bathroom in which anyone – family, friends or guests – can find their own place for regeneration.
