Hansgrohe International

The iF awards from the International Forum Design (iF) are among the most important honours of their kind in the world. This year, for the first time, the independent institution is presenting a ranking system that represents the best companies in the world in matters of design.

Currently Hansgrohe is 23rd on the list of the world's best companies for design. With 480 points, Hansgrohe AG was even ahead of companies such as Nokia and Audi. Within the sanitary industry, the company asserted its lead position - ahead of Hoesch AG (30th, with 360 points) and Grohe AG (34th with 320 points).

“Where design is concerned, Hansgrohe is certainly the world’s most successful manufacturer of bathroom mixers and showers,” explains Phillipe Grohe, manager of Hansgrohe’s designer brand Axor.
“While the visions and creative ideas of our design partners have always challenged us – in research and development as well as in production – they have also brought us forward a good measure. Today we are one of the trendsetters in the bathroom whereas those companies that do not invest in creative force from outside or make design subordinate to production specifications can only struggle to keep pace. And this too is reflected in the iF ranking.”

There is no let-up in reports around the world of Hansgrohe’s success in garnering design awards and top marks for its innovations. In 2009 alone the list of design awards for sanitation products from the Schiltach hot-bed of ideas grew to more than 300.
