Improved delivery serviceSchiltach, December 2009. Hansgrohe AG is one of the first companies in the sanitation industry to receive Europe-wide certification as a so-called “Authorized Economic Operator” (AEO) for its six manufacturing plants in Germany. The certification scheme was introduced in the European Union by the World Customs Organization (WCO), effective January 1, 2008. The customs certification attests to the high level of reliability and trustworthiness on the part of the Schiltach-based sanitary fittings and shower manufacturer in cross-border merchandise management. “For us as a global player with subsidiaries in 33 countries across all continents this customs certificate, which is recognized in all 27 member countries of the European Union, is of particular importance,” said a very pleased Helmut Günter from the Purchasing and Logistics department of Hansgrohe AG. "On the one hand, it is a clear indicator for our customers and suppliers that Hansgrohe AG stands for security, creditworthiness, data protection and high quality along the international supply chain. On the other, it results in greatly simplified customs clearance process and a streamlining of the administrative effort, which in turn allows us to cut costs and reduce our delivery times. To put it another way: thanks to the AEO certification, our delivery service will be improved and become more efficient.” Security optimized Click here for the detailed press information.
