Schiltach, September 2008. “We were able to reach more than half a million international visitors to the German Pavilion with our solutions for sustainably managing water, the elixir of life,” states Hansgrohe Board of Directors Chairman Siegfried Gänßlen, summing up the appearance of Hansgrohe AG from Schiltach, the Black Forest at this year’s World Expo. “We are delighted that our involvement in Zaragoza has allowed us to clearly demonstrate to the general public how vitally important the element of water is.” From June 14 through September 14, 2008, 540,000 people visited the site representing Germany, and the EXPO itself, located in Zaragoza in the northern part of Spain, registered some 5.5 million guests overall. “Better use of water has been a concern of ours for a long time,” says Gänßlen. “We see it as our mission to make people aware of just how precious and important this limited commodity really is. With our involvement at the German Pavilion, we took a big step in this direction.”
