Hansgrohe International

Schiltach, July 2008. “Climate protection,” says Richard Grohe of the Hansgrohe management board, “is making better use of water, meaning more ecologically and economically sustainable use, increasingly important. After all, drinking water is a precious foodstuff for us.” Hansgrohe – the bathroom and sanitation specialist headquartered in Schiltach/Schwarzwald – has taken account of this trend with its novel EcoSmart technology in the Crometta 85 Green hand sprays and overhead units. Regardless of the water pressure, it reduces water consumption by up to 60 per cent as compared with conventional shower sprays.

A combination of cleverly devised flow regulation and central air intake developed by the Hansgrohe fluid stream laboratory reduces consumption of the Crometta 85 Green to a maximum of six litres of water per minute. This lies significantly below the average value of conventional shower units. It is also one way of saving valuable water resources and – as warm water is generally used for showering – energy resources, too. “At present there is no branded shower spray that uses so little water while offering so much showering comfort as the Hansgrohe Crometta 85 Green,” Richard Grohe points out. “So in fact everyone can make a contribution to climate protection and sustainable use of water resources, even when under the shower.”
