In the new iF ranking Hansgrohe AG is among the world’s best in matters of stylingSchiltach, December 2008. The iF awards from the International Forum Design (iF) are among the most important honours of their kind in the world. This year, for the first time, the independent institution is presenting a ranking system that represents the best companies in the world in matters of design. Hansgrohe AG from Schiltach in the Black Forest (www.hansgrohe.com) is now among the leading international companies in the field of design alongside Apple, Adidas, Sony, BMW, Loewe and Daimler – to name but a few. At position 21 in the iF ranking from a total of 1,604 listed companies and with 520 points, the Schiltach-based bathroom mixers and shower specialist also tops the design charts for the sanitation industry – ahead of Hoesch AG (Position 31 with 360 points ) as well as the jointly placed Aloys F. Dornbracht Armaturen GmbH & Co. KG and Ceramica Catalano srl (Position 69 with 180 points). Other manufacturers from the sanitation sector such as Grohe, Hansa or Villeroy & Boch have failed to make it into the top 100 of the iF ranking .
