Hansgrohe wants to become top dog in the market at the Cape of Good HopeJohannesburg/Schiltach, January 26, 2008. As Hansgrohe AG, one of the leading international producers of fixtures and showers headquartered in Schiltach/Black Forest announced today, the company took up business activities of its own in South Africa at the turn of the year. To this end, Hansgrohe took over the family-run enterprise Personalized Bathrooms (Pty) Limited, an independent market partner in the past, and continue to manage it as a new, independent distribution company trading as Hansgrohe South Africa, which will then be part of the Hansgrohe Group operating with a global reach. The General Manager of what became the 29th Hansgrohe subsidiary is the past Director of Personalized Bathrooms, Anthony Mederer, who will thus continue the work begun in 1994 by his father and company founder Heinz Mederer. Hansgrohe CEO Siegfried Gänßlen and Julian Henco, the Sales Director responsible for the market region will be the remaining members of the Management of the new distribution company headquartered in Johannesburg.
